POWERFUL TOOLS TO HELP YOU MANAGE YOUR GAME
SIMPLE SETUP

The only thing you need to do as a user is give us the location of your music library. AmbientDJ will do the rest! To make it even simpler, we prompt you for this the first time you run our program. After that, you never need to worry about it again!

PLAY, PAUSE, OR SKIP SONGS

Control your music like you wish you could control your players! Pause the music during player discussion, play it as soon as you need to. Players seem to be grumbling about a particular song, skip it and keep them happy and immersed!

INCLUDE AND EXCLUDE MOODS!

We provide you the flexibility to be a god of moods. Our user's feel the true power of binary choice: Left click a mood to only play songs that include that mood. Right click a mood to only play songs that exclude that mood. Mix and match to play songs that include some moods but not others!

About

Our Origin Story

"You have just entered a large, dimly lit cavernous room. You see in the distance a pedestal, upon which sits an open, glowing grimoire. Before you can even think to move towards it, a voice rings out: HALT!"

...silence...

AmbientDJ is the brain-child of our Team Lead Sam. An avid D&D player, Sam had always wanted a way to play music based on the mood of a scene or location in D&D. To that end, he approached his two colleagues Kyle and Rory to get their take on it. Having both played D&D before as well, they loved the idea and immediately the three started working on the beginning draft of the program. Then, just a few short weeks and many curses later, they had achieved their goal: AmbientDJ was available for download on Linux, Mac and Windows!

So now when the adventures enter any large, dimly lit room, they're accompanied by a suspenseful, dangerous music track.
